These days I’ve been very busy with paperwork. Past Friday (September 5, 2008) I went to the Japan Embassy in Madrid to deliver all the forms required for the visa. These are the forms:

ICEX letter

“Verbal note” [difficult english translation, I don't even know what this means in Spanish] from the External Affairs Ministery, which I got before going to the Japan Embassy

Copy of the “contract” signed with all the conditions

Passport

It was a good experience to be in Japanese ground. In a matter of seconds I entered a place where all the ads and notices were written in Japanese They even had a “chiisai neko” (little cat) playing around. Everybody seemed to speak Japanese but the gard who must be from Madrid!

At first sight they looked efficient, there were not queue, just one Japanese guy. When my time arrived, they recognized as soon as I mentioned the word ICEX. Once finished, they told me they will call me in a week aproximately… I wish everything goes fine, but I wouldn’t mind having some days more at “casiña” before leaving to conquer the East.
